Surveys
Surveys are one of the fundamental tools used by a certification body.
It represents a means for gaining access to the information required to make recommendations and decisions about identifying new job roles, as well as the introduction of new qualification programs. The information that is obtained is used throughout the qualifications life cycle.
In fact, many different sets of survey results come together to provide the composite view that helps organizations like our understand how to properly construct a certification.
Survey data helps us ensure that our ideas for certification programs are not just based on the "flavor of the week", but on broader trends and based on industry needs.
Despite how much of the discipline of Service Management is based upon principles that have stood the test of time, there is also a significant element that is subject to continual change and revision.
Some of the more important drivers are culture, changes in laws and regulations, introductions of new/disruptive technology and the evolving needs of Service Management practitioners.
In an effort to better understand these changes, the SM-S also makes extensive use of surveys. In this way, we actively work to ensure that our programs and actions are not only timely and relevant for current conditions, but are also a solid foundation for the future.
Surveys may be open to the public or specific to our Associates, depending upon the information that we're trying to obtain. In all cases, our surveys:
- Will be run for specified periods of time;
- Will have published access instructions (normally from this site);
- Will be used to forward the objectives or non-commercial interests of the Society.
Please check back here often for announcements of new surveys and feel free to respond. We need your input!
